Healthene has developed a free, automated, remote care-delivery software system. The system employ's food and exercise as therapeutic agents to treat obesity and disease. Our immediate goal is to deliver simple, scientifically-vetted, and specially tailored care plans, using food and exercise, to patients who are striving to manage their chronic diseases.
What distinguishes Healthene’s solution is that it treats disease on a molecular level. It does this by translating disease treatment guidelines into a set of patient-specific molecular requirements (based on unique patient biometric characteristics).
Diet and exercise are uniformly the first, and often the most important step in modifying disease risk. In fact, a number of recent studies have shown that treating disease with diet and exercise can often be more effective than medicinal or other standard treatments. For example, a 2017 randomized controlled trial of dietary improvement for adults with major depression (the SMILES trial) found that diet was significantly more effective than psychotherapy in reversing depression.
In other studies, certain chemicals found in foods have been shown to have medicinal properties.
